1Hour After
1Hour After Post-Workout Body Care Review
Olivia's rating
Approx. $30.00
A sensible product for a real annoyance, wrapped in science-sounding language it does not need.

How it scored
What we liked
- +Aimed at a genuine, under-served problem
- +Sensible for high-frequency training
- +Range covers stages around a session
What could be better
- –Recovery language oversells what a topical product can do
- –Expensive against ordinary body care
1Hour After makes body care aimed at the window straight after training — sore muscles, skin that has been in a wet kit, the general aftermath of endurance sport. Products sit around $30 and the brand leans on Hyrox and Ironman athletes for positioning.
The underlying need is genuine and under-served. People who train hard several times a week do get skin problems from sweat and friction, and standard shower gel is not designed with that in mind. A product formulated for post-training skin is a reasonable thing to exist.
Where it needs reading carefully is the language. "Scientifically-backed formula" appears prominently, and that phrase carries no fixed meaning. Topical products can soothe skin, cool it, and reduce friction damage. What they cannot do is meaningfully speed up muscle recovery — that is decided by sleep, food and training load, not by anything applied to the surface. Read the soothing claims as literal and the recovery claims as marketing, and the product looks fine.
At $30 it competes against a good moisturiser and a bar of decent soap, which cost less and do most of the job. The premium buys formulation aimed at your specific situation, and whether that is worth it depends on how often you train and how much your skin actually suffers.
Worth trying if you train most days and have skin irritation from kit. Skip if you train twice a week — ordinary body care will serve you the same at a third of the price.
