Protech Allergies Review 2026: A Quebec Store for Cleaner Bedrooms

Every July 1, much of Quebec moves house at once. Trucks double-park on narrow streets, friends carry mattresses up spiral staircases, and by evening someone is standing in a half-empty apartment, looking at the previous tenant's dust bunnies and a mattress that has just spent a day in the back of a van.

That first-night clean-up is the moment Protech Allergies is designed for. The company, based in Lévis, Quebec, sells air purifiers, vacuums, steam cleaners and a full set of bedroom textiles, from zippered mattress encasements to bamboo sheets. Olivia Reviews read through its catalog, technical specifications and store policies to explain what you actually get.

Quick take: Protech Allergies is a specialist Canadian home store with unusually detailed specs, a 30-day return policy with a free Canada Post label, and free shipping over a modest minimum. The catch is that most product pages are in French, prices are in Canadian dollars, and several purifiers were on backorder in October 2026. See today's Protech Allergies deals before you buy.

A Lévis company with a personal origin story

On its English-language homepage, Protech Allergies introduces its founder and president, Vincent, and explains that the company was born in 2017 out of a recurring dust mite problem he had himself. The brand's line is that "we are our first customers", meaning it says it only sells products the team uses at home.

The store grew from there into roughly a dozen categories: purifiers and their filters, HEPA vacuums, steam cleaners, encasements, a cooling mattress cover, bamboo sheets, memory foam pillows, laundry detergent and spray, dehumidifiers, humidifiers and, more recently, clothes steamers. The site also runs an "Allergies" section with guides on dust mites, pets, mold and pollen.

A note before you shop

Protech's marketing leans heavily on allergy language, and the company name does too. Olivia Reviews sticks to describing the equipment and the bedding: what they are made of, how big they are and how the store handles orders. We make no claims about symptoms. If you have allergies, asthma or any breathing concerns, ask a doctor or allergist what will actually help in your situation.

Five products worth a closer look

The purifier trio: P1211, P3001 and P6006

Protech sizes its purifiers by CADR, the clean air delivery rate, and says it is a more useful number than floor area. The P1211 is the bedroom model: 120 m³ of air per hour, a suggested 215 sq ft, three fan speeds, under 35 dB, and a small 24.2 × 24.2 × 31 cm body weighing 1.5 kg. It uses three stages: a pre-filter, an H13 HEPA filter and activated carbon.

The P3001 steps up to 310 m³/h and about 645 sq ft, with six stages that add a photocatalytic filter and a switchable ionizer and UV lamp. It also has a PM2.5 sensor and a color air-quality indicator. The P6006 handles 510 m³/h for spaces around 1,076 sq ft. The brand says all three are ETL certified and suggests replacing filters once or twice a year.

FELAIR: a purifier that doubles as cat furniture

The most unusual item in the catalog is built for pet homes. The FELAIR has an extra-wide air intake lined with washable electrostatic cotton to catch floating fur, then an H13 HEPA filter and a carbon filter with a pet-odor enzyme. Around the outside you'll find a sisal scratching surface, a ball toy and a flat top where a cat can lie down. The rating is 350 m³/h for about 750 sq ft. It was out of stock in October, with reservations open for an early-November restock.

Steam and suction: ASPRA, NET and PURE

The ASPRA is a cordless stick vacuum: 2.6 kg, a 500 W motor, a dust-sensing auto mode, a washable HEPA filter, a 0.75 L bin and a battery the brand rates at 65 minutes in low mode and 20 minutes in max mode. Next comes the NET steam mop, which draws 1500 W, reaches 110 °C with 1.5 bar of pressure and ships with 12 accessories, including washable pads, nylon and brass brushes and a window tool. The PURE handheld is the detail cleaner: 1000 W, 3 bar, a 300 ml tank, a 1.2 m hose and a heat-up time of 15 seconds.

Encasements and the cooling mattress cover

Protech's encasements wrap the whole mattress. The brand lists the fabric as 100% high-density polyester, backed on every side by a thin (0.02 mm) TPU membrane, with a bamboo top layer and a zipper hidden under a flap. You order by bed size (Twin, Double, Queen or King) and by mattress depth (6, 9, 12 or 14 inches), and there is a version for split-head adjustable beds. Matching pillow and box-spring encasements are sold too. For a simpler layer, the elastic-edged "refreshing" waterproof cover is 60% polyester and 40% cooling fiber and fits mattresses up to 18 inches deep.

Bamboo sheets and the gel pillow

The sheet sets are made of 100% organic bamboo rayon, according to the brand, with a 300 thread count, a satin weave, a fabric of 140 to 145 g/m² and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. Each set has a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and two pillowcases (one with Twin). Queen was due back in stock at the end of October. The ergonomic pillow uses BASF memory foam with a cooling gel layer and a machine-washable cover, and measures 68 × 40 × 10 cm. Note that pillows are final sale.

Ordering from Canada or the US: what the policies say

Shipping cost: free once your order passes the store's small minimum spend; a flat delivery fee applies below it.
Speed: one business day to large Quebec cities and two to smaller ones; two to six business days elsewhere in Canada and to American addresses; five to ten days to France.
Carriers: Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, Canpar, GLS and ICS.
Returns: a 30-day satisfaction policy on everything except the made-to-measure duvet cover. Email the store within 30 days and it supplies a prepaid Canada Post label, then refunds the full amount as long as the product comes back unharmed in the box it arrived in.
Final sale: pillows, for hygiene reasons.
Warranty: the refund policy doesn't spell out warranty terms, so ask about coverage on appliances before ordering.
Currency: the checkout shows "$", but the store actually charges in Canadian dollars. US cards may add a foreign transaction fee.

Pros and cons

What we like

Detailed specs on every appliance: CADR, decibels, dimensions and filter stages.
A generous 30-day return window with a prepaid Canada Post label.
Encasements in four bed sizes, four depths and an adjustable-bed version.
Replacement filters and parts sold directly.
Several appliances also come as discounted open-box units ("Retour – Comme neuf").

What to watch

Much of the product copy is French-only.
Prices are in Canadian dollars, which US shoppers need to convert.
Three purifiers were on backorder until early November, and the dehumidifier until April 2027.
Pillows can't be returned.
No published warranty length and no public promo code.

Who it's for, and who should look elsewhere

A good fit for Canadian households, particularly in Quebec where delivery is next-day in big cities, and for anyone who likes comparing technical numbers before buying. Cat owners may like the FELAIR's built-in scratcher and platform, and anyone redoing a bedroom can get encasements, a waterproof cover and sheets in one order.

Look elsewhere if you want an English-only shopping experience, need a purifier delivered this week, or are hoping a product will solve a medical problem. That last question belongs with your doctor, not a store.

How to save at Protech Allergies

Sign up for the newsletter, labelled "Promotions and News", which also sends restock alerts.

No public promo code turned up in our research. If one appears, it will be on our Protech Allergies coupon page.

Protech Allergies questions, answered

Is the Protech Allergies website available in English?

Yes, there is an English version, but many product names, descriptions and reviews are still in French. The specs are easy to follow because they are mostly numbers.

Can shoppers in the United States order?

Yes. The shipping policy quotes two to six business days for the US, and the store lists Canada, the US, France and Mexico among its delivery countries. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

Which purifier makes sense for a bedroom?

The brand matches the P1211, rated at 120 m³/h for about 215 sq ft, to bedrooms and small offices. Larger rooms point toward the P3001 or P6006.

What happens if I don't like a product?

Contact the store within 30 days. Protech then sends a prepaid Canada Post label, and you get your money back in full if the product is intact and in its original box. The exceptions are pillows and the made-to-measure duvet cover.

Final verdict

Protech Allergies is a small, focused Quebec retailer that publishes the numbers many bigger stores leave out, backs its sales with an easy 30-day return process, and covers the whole bedroom in one cart. Language, currency and stock gaps are the main frustrations. Treat it as a home-cleaning and bedding store, keep medical questions for your doctor, and look at today's Protech Allergies deals before you check out.
