Protech Allergies Buying Guide 2026: The Right Purifier and Cleaner for Each Room

Protech Allergies Buying Guide 2026: The Right Purifier and Cleaner for Each Room

The cat has claimed the top of the air purifier again. It's warm up there, the hum is steady, and the sisal post on the side has been shredded into a satisfying fringe. Down the hall, a smaller purifier sits on a bedroom dresser, and a cordless vacuum hangs on its wall charger by the back door.

That's roughly what a home fitted out from Protech Allergies looks like, and it shows the real buying question: not "which product is good?" but "which machine belongs in which room?" Olivia Reviews worked through the Quebec brand's purifiers, vacuums and steam cleaners in October 2026 and matched each to a room size and a job, using the specs Protech publishes.

Quick take: choose a purifier by its CADR (clean air delivery rate) against your room's square footage, as the brand itself recommends: the P1211 for a bedroom, the P3001 or the cat-friendly FELAIR for a living room, the P6006 for big open spaces. Then add one floor tool: the ASPRA cordless vacuum for everyday floors, the NET steam mop for hard floors. Watch stock notes, since several purifiers were on backorder. See today's Protech Allergies deals before you decide.

A note on scope: this guide compares specs, sizes and policies. Olivia Reviews makes no claims about allergy symptoms or germs; if you have allergies, asthma or breathing concerns, ask a doctor or allergist what will help.

First, measure the room

Protech's purifier pages all make the same point: the important figure is CADR, the volume of air a unit processes per hour, and floor area follows from it. So start with a tape measure. Multiply length by width in feet, then compare the result with the brand's recommended surface areas:

ModelCADR (brand figure)Recommended areaGood for
P1211120 mΒ³/hAbout 215 sq ftBedrooms, small offices
P3001310 mΒ³/hAbout 645 sq ftLiving rooms, home offices
FELAIR350 mΒ³/hAbout 750 sq ftLiving areas in homes with cats
P6006510 mΒ³/hAbout 1,076 sq ftLarge open-plan spaces

If your room falls between two models, the brand's logic points to the larger CADR.

For the bedroom: P1211

Small enough for a dresser or nightstand at 24.2 Γ— 24.2 Γ— 31 cm and 1.5 kg, the P1211 runs three stages: a pre-filter, an H13 HEPA filter and an activated carbon filter. The brand lists three fan speeds, a noise level under 35 dB, an air-quality indicator that shifts color from blue to red, and an aromatherapy feature.

Stock note: in October the product page said it was out of stock and due back in late October, with pre-orders open. The open-box version was sold out too.

Buy it if: you want one quiet unit for a room around 200 sq ft.

For the living room: P3001

The P3001 is the most complete of the numbered models. It adds stages on top of the P1211's three: a washable pre-filter, H13 HEPA, activated carbon, a photocatalytic filter, and an ionizer and UV lamp you can switch on or off. The brand lists four fan speeds, a body of 40.2 Γ— 18.6 Γ— 62.4 cm and a weight of 8.6 kg, so plan a floor spot rather than a shelf.

It was in stock and on sale on the Canadian store when we checked. Replacement filters, a photocatalytic filter and a pair of UV lamps are all sold separately.

Buy it if: your main living space is around 600 sq ft and you like having every stage in one machine.

For homes with cats: FELAIR

The FELAIR doubles as a scratching post and a resting platform. Image: Protech Allergies.

The FELAIR is the purifier you'll talk about with guests. It wraps a sisal scratching post around the body, puts a resting platform on top and adds a ball toy, so the machine earns a place in the room instead of being hidden in a corner.

Underneath the cat furniture, it's a serious unit by Protech's own numbers: 350 mΒ³/h, a recommended 750 sq ft and three fan speeds. An extra-large air inlet with a washable electrostatic cotton filter is meant to catch floating hair before it reaches the H13 HEPA filter, which is followed by a carbon filter with a deodorizing enzyme and a switchable ionizer.

Stock note: the page said it would be back at the beginning of November, with reservations open.

Buy it if: you share a living room with a cat and want a purifier the cat will use too.

For large open spaces: P6006

The P6006 is the big one: 510 mΒ³/h and a recommended 1,076 sq ft, with four fan speeds and five stages including a washable pre-filter, H13 HEPA, activated carbon, a photocatalytic filter and a UV lamp. The page carried a "back in October" note with reservations available. It suits open-plan ground floors, studios or a shop floor more than a single bedroom.

Then choose your floor and fabric tools

Everyday floors: ASPRA cordless vacuum

The ASPRA is a 2.6 kg stick vacuum with a 500 W motor, 45 kPa of suction, an automatic dust-sensing mode and three speeds. Runtime is up to 65 minutes on low and 20 on max. The brand highlights a V-shaped brush that doesn't clog, an LED light, a 0.75 L bin, a washable HEPA filter and an automatically recharging wall mount. Spare batteries, filters and brush heads are sold on the site.

Buy it if: you want one cordless vacuum for the whole home and the car.

Mattresses and sofas: UV dust mite vacuum

The handheld UV vacuum is designed for mattresses and upholstery. Image: Protech Allergies.

A handheld unit for fabric surfaces: 120 W, at least 7 kPa of suction, about 25 minutes per charge (4 hours to recharge), a 0.2 L tank, a beating function and a UV-C lamp that only switches on through a touch-safety feature. The brand makes germ-related claims about the lamp that Olivia Reviews can't assess, so judge it on the specs.

Buy it if: you want a dedicated tool for mattresses and sofas between deep cleans.

Hard floors: NET steam mop

The NET uses only water: 1,500 W, about 25 g of steam per minute at 1.5 bar, heating to 110Β°C. The brand says that pressure suits hardwood, laminate, ceramic and vinyl. It ships with 12 accessories, including two washable floor pads, a nylon brush for grout, a brass brush for tougher jobs and a window tool.

Grout and small jobs: PURE handheld steamer

The PURE is a compact 1,000 W steamer with a 300 ml tank, a 15-second heat-up, 3 bar of pressure and a 1.2 m hose, aimed at tile grout, kitchens, bathrooms, windows and upholstery.

The main store prices everything in Canadian dollars, and a US version of the site shows separate US-dollar prices. Because the two didn't line up with a simple currency conversion when we looked, we've shown each product's position in the range rather than a number; check the live price for your country.

What to know before ordering

  • Shipping: the policy lists 1–2 business days within Quebec and 2–6 business days to the rest of Canada and the US, with free shipping above a minimum set in Canadian dollars.
  • Returns: a 30-day satisfaction policy with a free Canada Post return label for a full refund, provided the item is undamaged and in its original packaging. Pillows and custom duvet covers are excluded.
  • Warranty: the refund policy page doesn't publish warranty terms, so ask the store before buying a large appliance.
  • Language: the store defaults to French; an English version is available from the language menu.

What we like and what to watch

What we like

  • Every purifier lists CADR and a recommended area, which makes sizing simple.
  • The FELAIR is a genuinely different idea for cat owners.
  • Filters, lamps, pads and batteries are all sold as spares.
  • 30-day returns with a free return label.

What to watch

  • Several purifiers were on backorder in October 2026.
  • Product pages include germ-related marketing claims you should read with caution.
  • Prices differ between the Canadian and US versions of the store.
  • No published warranty terms.

Who it's for, and who should skip

Protech suits Canadian and US shoppers who like to buy by the numbers, cat owners curious about the FELAIR, and anyone who wants a purifier, a vacuum and a steam mop from one store with one return policy. Skip it if you need a published long-term warranty, or if you're looking for a product to manage a medical condition; that's a conversation for your doctor.

How to save

  1. Watch the markdowns. Several appliances showed sale prices against a higher regular price in October.
  2. Check for "Retour – Comme neuf." Open-box versions of the P1211, ASPRA, NET, PURE and others are listed at lower prices when in stock; most were sold out when we looked.
  3. Join the newsletter for restock news on backordered purifiers.

FAQ

Which Protech purifier fits a 12 Γ— 15 ft bedroom?

That's 180 sq ft, within the P1211's recommended 215 sq ft, according to the brand's figures.

Is the FELAIR only for cat owners?

No, it works as a purifier on its own, but the scratching post and platform are its main reason to exist. Without a cat, the P3001 covers a similar room size.

Can the NET steam mop go on hardwood?

The brand says its 1.5 bar pressure suits hardwood, laminate, ceramic and vinyl. Check your flooring maker's guidance too.

How often do purifier filters need replacing?

Protech suggests once or twice a year, or more often in smokers' homes.

Final verdict

Protech Allergies makes the buying decision easier than most by publishing CADR and room sizes for every purifier. Measure the room, pick the model whose recommended area covers it, then add the one floor tool you'd actually use. Check the stock notes before you set your heart on a model, and see today's Protech Allergies deals.
