What to check when buying lighting

• Lumens, not watts. Watts now measure energy used, not brightness. Lumens is the output figure.
• Colour temperature in kelvin. Lower numbers are warm and yellow; higher numbers are cool and blue-white. Keep it consistent within one space — mixed temperatures look like a mistake.
• Colour rendering index. Higher renders colours more accurately, which matters in kitchens, workshops and anywhere you judge colour.
• Beam angle — narrow for spot, wide for general fill.
• Dimmer compatibility. Not every efficient bulb dims, and those that do need a matching dimmer. This is the most common complaint after switching to LED.
• Fitting type and physical size, since some fittings will not take a larger bulb.
• Ingress protection rating for anything outdoors or in a bathroom — this is a regulated requirement, not a preference.
• Voltage, particularly for strip lighting and anything needing a driver or transformer.

Before you order

• Compare the total at checkout, not the listed price. Shipping and tax appear at the final step, and on a cross-border order duties are added later again.
• Check the delivery estimate against when you actually need the item, especially for a gift.
• Read the return terms for the specific item. Sale and personalised items are the ones most often excluded.
• Check the product page specification rather than the category description — size, fit and compatibility details live there.
• Keep the packaging until you are sure, since most brands require original condition for a return.

How to use a Lampsusa code

1. Open our Lampsusa deals page and pick an offer.
2. Reveal the code — the Lampsusa site opens in a new tab.
3. Add what you want to the cart on lampsusa.com.
4. At checkout, paste the code into the Promo code or Discount field and click Apply.
5. Check the order summary shows the discount before you pay.

Codes expire, hit usage caps, or get withdrawn without notice. If one does not apply, try the next offer on the page.

How we list Lampsusa offers

We collect publicly available Lampsusa offers on one page and link straight through to the brand. We do not invent codes and we do not publish discount figures we cannot see — where an offer has no stated amount, it is listed as a deal rather than a percentage.
