What to check when buying clothing online
- Garment measurements, not the label size. Sizing is not standardised between brands. Compare the flat measurements against something you already own that fits.
- Fabric composition rather than the marketing name — it decides stretch, breathability, how it washes and how it ages.
- Fabric weight where stated, usually in grams per square metre. Heavier fabric generally means more opaque and more durable.
- Seam finishing and stitch density, visible in close-up photographs. Reinforcement at stress points is a sign of a maker thinking about wear.
- Care requirements. Dry-clean-only carries a running cost the price does not show.
- Who pays return postage, since sizing is the most common reason clothing goes back.
Reviews are most useful for repeated comments — runs small, shrinks, sheer in daylight. One mention is noise; several saying the same thing is a specification the listing left out.
Before you order
- Compare the total at checkout, not the listed price. Shipping and tax appear at the final step, and on a cross-border order duties are added later again.
- Check the delivery estimate against when you actually need the item, especially for a gift.
- Read the return terms for the specific item. Sale and personalised items are the ones most often excluded.
- Check the product page specification rather than the category description — size, fit and compatibility details live there.
- Keep the packaging until you are sure, since most brands require original condition for a return.
How to use a Free Spirit Shop code
- Open our Free Spirit Shop deals page and pick an offer.
- Reveal the code — the Free Spirit Shop site opens in a new tab.
- Add what you want to the cart on free-spirit-shop.com.
- At checkout, paste the code into the Promo code or Discount field and click Apply.
- Check the order summary shows the discount before you pay.
Codes expire, hit usage caps, or get withdrawn without notice. If one does not apply, try the next offer on the page.
How we list Free Spirit Shop offers
We collect publicly available Free Spirit Shop offers on one page and link straight through to the brand. We do not invent codes and we do not publish discount figures we cannot see — where an offer has no stated amount, it is listed as a deal rather than a percentage.
