Dr Ruscio Review 2026: What the Labels Say, What It Costs, What You Can Return

A small battery frother whirs in a mug of morning coffee while a scoop of white powder disappears into the foam. On the counter beside it sit two green-labeled capsule jars and a tub of collagen powder. It's a very ordinary kitchen scene, and it is more or less the product range of the Dr Ruscio store, right down to the branded frother.

Olivia Reviews went through store.drruscio.com in October 2026, reading the label panels in the product photos, checking prices in US dollars and working through the shipping, subscription and return rules.

Quick take: Dr Ruscio sells capsules and powders with unusually complete label photos, plus a brand-displayed code (SPOTLIGHT15) that was running until October 18. Prices are on the premium side, and the return policy is strict: opened products can't be returned and a 15% restocking fee applies. See today's Dr Ruscio deals before you fill your cart.

The people behind the store

The shop is operated by The Ruscio Institute LLC, and its profile lists Austin, Texas. It carries the name of Dr. Michael Ruscio, DC; the store describes him as a naturopathic practitioner, researcher and author, and lists his practice in Overland Park, Kansas. According to the store, every product is evaluated by Dr. Ruscio in his clinic before it's offered.

Many jars carry the house line name Functional Medicine Formulations. The store also resells selected products from other makers. Customer service answers by email or phone, usually within 48 business hours, and the contact form states plainly that it cannot give personal medical advice.

Six products, label by label

Saccharomyces Boulardii Probiotic

A single-organism capsule. The supplement facts panel shown on the page lists 300 mg of Saccharomyces boulardii (6 billion CFU) per 2-capsule serving, with microcrystalline cellulose and a hypromellose capsule as the other ingredients. The page marks it casein-, gluten-, shellfish- and soy-free. The 120-capsule jar was $69.99.

Lacto-Bifido Probiotic Blend

The panel lists a 280 mg blend (50 billion CFU) per 2 capsules, made up of 12 named strains. Among them are Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus casei, L. paracasei, Bifidobacterium lactis, L. salivarius, L. bulgaricus and Bifidobacterium breve. Other ingredients are chicory root inulin, hypromellose, magnesium stearate and silica. It comes in two sizes: 60 capsules for $59.99 or 120 capsules for $94.99.

Soil-Based Probiotic

This one uses spore-forming strains: the label lists 420 mg (4 billion CFU) of Bacillus coagulans and Bacillus subtilis per 2 capsules, 60 servings per container, with hypromellose, chicory root inulin and L-leucine as other ingredients. The store says its probiotics are checked by independent labs for strain identity and potency against the label. At $46.99 for 120 capsules, it was the least expensive of the three probiotics.

Who should buy, and who should pass

Worth a look if you read labels closely, want a probiotic with every strain spelled out, plan to reorder on a subscription, or have an HSA/FSA account you'd like to use.

Final verdict

Dr Ruscio is a store for careful label readers: the strain lists, CFU counts and allergen notes are all in plain view, and the shop occasionally posts its own code. The trade-offs are premium prices and a return policy that won't take back an opened jar, so buy the smallest size first if you're unsure. Before you order, check the current Dr Ruscio offers.
