The Holiday Red: The Cardigan in Cherry Red, $98
If one piece says "December" in this shop, it's this one. Coucou describes The Cardigan as its take on "that perfect, flirty cardi your mom used to wear in the 80's," in the brand's signature pointelle, and the cherry red version sits in the store's Bestsellers collection. It was available in every size from XXS to XXL when we checked.
How it fits into winter: button it all the way up as a top with high-waisted trousers for a holiday dinner, or wear it open over a white tee on a weekend. Coucou suggests pairing it with "all your favorite Cou Cou essentials." It also comes in white and navy pointelle, if red feels like too much.
The Cozy Set: Midnight Fields Henley ($86) + Pant ($118)
Midnight Fields is a dark, floral-print pointelle that feels made for long nights in. The Henley is "a classic 90s henley silhouette, now available in a longer length," according to Coucou, which suggests wearing it with sweats for "impromptu game nights" or with 501s and loafers for "an effortless morning matcha run."
The matching Pant is the brand's straight-leg lounge pant with three small center-front buttons, which it calls "quite literally the comfiest pants you'll never want to take off." Together, the set is $204 before any set offer. One warning: Midnight Fields was down to a few sizes when we looked (the Henley in XXS to S; the Pant in XXS, S and XXL), so check stock before you plan around it.

For Cold-ish Days: The Frilly Long Sleeve, $68
"Because life's better with frills." Coucou calls this its first-ever cotton jersey long sleeve, made in the brand's super-soft organic cotton jersey, and it's written for exactly the in-between weather of October and early November. Frill-edged and fitted, it works as a base layer under a cardigan or a tailored coat, and on its own with jeans.
White was available in XXS to L when we checked; black and grey versions are also on the site. If you're comparing it with the Rina Long Sleeve (bell sleeves, dipped front), choose Frilly for ruffles and Rina for a ballet-inspired line.
The Sporty One: The Raglan in Grey/Sky Blue, $68
Not everything in a winter wardrobe needs to be romantic. The Raglan is "a 90s classic, reimagined," a sporty take on Coucou's Rina silhouette with contrast bell sleeves and a dipped front, cut from the brand's cotton jersey. Grey with sky blue sleeves is the kind of easy color pairing that looks great with jeans or the Pointelle Pant.
It's another fast-moving piece: sizes L to XXL were sold out in this colorway when we checked. A baby pink/espresso version is also listed.
The Layering Piece: The Baby Henley in Black Pointelle, $82
Shorter than the Midnight Fields Henley, the Baby Henley has "long-ish baby sleeves" and three petite buttons. In black pointelle it's the easiest winter layer here: under a blazer for work, over the Scoop Tank at home, or with a slip skirt and boots for the weekend. Sizes were patchy when we checked (XXS, S, XL and XXL available).
Keep a Little Lace Underneath
Winter layering works best with a soft base. The Scoop Tank ($56) has a deep scoop neck, French lace trim and a petite bow, "inspired by your vintage favorites." In Midnight Fields it matches the Henley and Pant, and it was in stock from XXS to XXL. Wear it under an open cardigan so the lace edge shows.

- Express: 2–4 days for $12.
- Duties and taxes: included, with no extra charges on receipt.
- Returns: request within 14 days of receiving your order; pieces must be unworn, unwashed and tagged. US refunds have an $8 return fee deducted, or you can choose store credit for free.
- Not returnable: sale items and gift cards, and there are no direct exchanges.
