Bear Mattress Pillow Buying Guide 2026: Which of 9 Pillows Fits How You Sleep?

Midnight, and you're on your third pillow fold of the night. Doubled over, then flattened, then shoved against the headboard. The new mattress arrived weeks ago and you love it, but the pillow you've had since college is now a thin, lumpy pancake. You open Bear's pillow page looking for a quick fix and find nine options: foam, latex, gel grid, shredded fill, down and feather, a contour shape, a knee pillow and a wedge.

Olivia Reviews went through every Bear pillow listing in October 2026, from fill materials and loft heights to dimensions, prices and the brand's own notes on which sleepers each one is designed for. Here's how they compare, and how to narrow nine choices down to one.

Quick take: For a single all-rounder, Bear positions the Bear Pillow ($125 standard) for all sleep positions. If you know your position, the Talalay Latex and Cooling Gel Grid pillows come in low and high lofts, and Bear's own advice is low for back and stomach sleepers, high for side sleepers. Not sure at all? The Adjustable Cooling Pillow lets you add or remove fill. Pillows can be returned within 30 nights, and a Fall Sale banner advertised 30% off sitewide when we looked, so see today's Bear Mattress deals before you choose.

Start Here: Three Questions

  1. How do you sleep? Bear's loft advice is consistent across its listings: lower pillows for back and stomach sleepers, higher pillows for side sleepers, who have more space to fill between head and mattress.
  2. What feel do you like? Foam and gel pillows hold a shape. Latex has a lighter bounce. Shredded fill, down alternative and down-and-feather pillows can be squished and moved around.
  3. Do you sleep warm? Several Bear pillows use what the brand calls cooling or cool-to-the-touch covers, ventilated mesh or hole-punched latex. These are materials choices; how warm you feel also depends on your room and bedding.

The Bear Pillows, One by One

Bear Pillow: The All-Rounder ($125–$145)

Bear's signature pillow is built around LOFT-X, a hybrid foam the brand says contours like memory foam with the buoyant feel of latex. The Double Ice cover has two-sided mesh panels for ventilation. The standard size measures 15" x 27.75" x 4.5" and weighs 5 lbs. The king is 15.75" x 35.4" x 5" and 7 lbs. Bear describes it as balanced for all sleep positions. Note the care label: spot clean only.

Talalay Latex Pillow: Bounce, in Two Heights ($170–$198.57)

A Talalay latex core with a hole-punched design, inside a cover of 70% polyester and 30% Tencelβ„’ Lyocell with a nylon zipper. Bear describes the feel as a responsive but subtle bounce. The Low loft is 5.75" tall and the High loft 7" (the queen measures 16" x 24.5" or 16" x 28"). Bear says back and stomach sleepers typically prefer Low, while most side sleepers choose High.

Cooling Gel Grid Pillow: Memory Foam With a Gel Layer ($198.57–$227.14)

The priciest pillow in the lineup combines a gel grid, a memory foam core with gel and a cover Bear calls cool to the touch (70% polyester, 30% polyethylene). The queen High loft is about 5.1" tall and the Low about 4". Bear gives the same advice as for latex: Low for stomach and back sleepers, High for side sleepers. Choose it over the latex pillow if you want the slower, sink-in feel of memory foam.

Adjustable Cooling Pillow: Build Your Own Loft ($127.14–$155.71)

The pick for anyone who has never found a pillow that's the right height. A dual-chamber design lets you add or remove pieces of shredded foam and down-alternative filling. Bear lists the fill as 40% polyester fiber, 30% memory foam and 30% polyethylene foam. The queen is 20" x 30" and 5 lbs; the king is 20" x 36" and 5.6 lbs. Tip: keep any fill you take out, in case you want it back later.

Down & Feather Pillow: The Classic ($130–$150)

A blend of down and feathers in a crisp 100% cotton cambric cover (230 thread count). Bear describes it as highly moldable with a balanced feel that suits most sleepers. Standard is 20" x 26" and king is 20" x 36". It's the one to choose if you like to punch and fold your pillow into shape.

Contour Pillow: A Shaped Option ($125)

A cool-to-the-touch pillow with a U-shaped cutout, sized at 17" x 26" x 6" in a Standard/Queen size. Bear's FAQ says the cutout is designed for both side and back sleepers. If you prefer a traditional rectangle, look at the Bear Pillow instead.

Also in the Lineup

  • Cirrus Cloud Pillows ($150–$200 for two). A down-alternative two-pack in queen (20" x 30") or king (20" x 36"). The queen pack showed as sold out when we checked.
  • Side Support Knee Pillow ($132). An hourglass-shaped memory foam pillow, 11.75" x 6" x 9.5", made to sit between the knees or thighs when you sleep on your side, with a polyester and Tencelβ„’ cover.
  • Bed Wedge Pillow ($147). A 24" x 24" x 10" wedge of gel memory foam and polyurethane foam for lounging, reading in bed or propping up your legs or upper body.
  • Bear Pillow Pack Bundle ($95–$112.50). A Bear Cooling Pillow plus a Bear Kids Pillow, against a compare-at price of $190–$225.

Bear's product copy for the knee and wedge pillows talks about body benefits. Olivia Reviews doesn't repeat those claims. If you're shopping for either one because of pain, snoring, reflux or another ongoing problem, those can have medical causes, so talk to a doctor first.

What we like

  • Exact dimensions, weights and fill materials on most listings.
  • Two pillows offered in low and high loft, with clear sleeper guidance.
  • An adjustable-fill option for people between sizes.
  • Free pillow returns within 30 nights.

What to watch

  • List prices are high, from $125 to $227.14 for a single pillow.
  • The Bear Pillow is spot clean only.
  • Some sizes, like the queen Cirrus Cloud pack, were sold out.
  • The 30-night window is far shorter than the mattress trial.

How to Pay Less

  1. Catch the sitewide sale. The Fall Sale banner advertised 30% off sitewide in October 2026; check how it applies in your cart.
  2. Bundle. The Bear Pillow Pack pairs an adult and a kids pillow at half its compare-at price.
  3. Check group discounts. Bear advertises 40% off for military members, teachers, first responders and nurses through ID.me, not combinable with other codes.
  4. Compare current Bear Mattress coupons before checking out.

Bear Pillow FAQ

Which Bear pillow is designed for side sleepers?

Bear recommends the High loft versions of the Talalay Latex and Cooling Gel Grid pillows for side sleepers, and says the Contour Pillow works for side and back sleepers.

Which Bear pillow can I adjust?

The Adjustable Cooling Pillow, which lets you add or remove shredded foam and down-alternative fill from two chambers.

Can I return a Bear pillow?

Yes, within 30 nights of delivery through Bear's return portal, which provides a free return label.

Can I wash the Bear Pillow?

Final Verdict

Bear's pillow lineup is easiest to shop by sleep position. Side sleepers should start with a High loft latex or gel grid pillow, back and stomach sleepers with a Low loft, and anyone unsure with the Adjustable Cooling Pillow or the all-position Bear Pillow. Fans of a squishy classic can go down and feather. With a 30-night return window and free return labels, picking the wrong one isn't expensive. Compare Bear's current offers before you buy.
