What to check when buying pet supplements and dental products

This category is marketed confidently and regulated lightly. A few checks help.

• Ingredient amounts, disclosed per serving. A proprietary blend that lists ingredients without quantities tells you nothing about whether a useful amount is present.
• Dosing by body weight, which should be clearly stated. If it is not, that is a gap.
• Independent quality marks — in some markets there are voluntary certification schemes for animal supplements. Worth looking for, and worth knowing they are voluntary.
• Veterinary advice first for anything medical. Supplements are not treatments, and an animal with a diagnosed condition needs a plan from a vet, not a product page. This matters most for animals already on medication, where interactions are possible.
• Dental products: look for whether a product is accepted by a recognised veterinary dental assessment scheme rather than for the word "dental" on the pack. Chews and water additives do not replace brushing.
• Palatability risk. Animals refuse things. Buy the smallest size first — opened pet products are almost never returnable.

Before you order

• Compare the total at checkout, not the listed price. Shipping and tax appear at the final step, and on a cross-border order duties are added later again.
• Check the delivery estimate against when you actually need the item, especially for a gift.
• Read the return terms for the specific item. Sale and personalised items are the ones most often excluded.
• Check the product page specification rather than the category description — size, fit and compatibility details live there.
• Keep the packaging until you are sure, since most brands require original condition for a return.

How to use a Arterra Pet code

1. Open our Arterra Pet deals page and pick an offer.
2. Reveal the code — the Arterra Pet site opens in a new tab.
3. Add what you want to the cart on arterrapet.com.
4. At checkout, paste the code into the Promo code or Discount field and click Apply.
5. Check the order summary shows the discount before you pay.

Codes expire, hit usage caps, or get withdrawn without notice. If one does not apply, try the next offer on the page.

How we list Arterra Pet offers

We collect publicly available Arterra Pet offers on one page and link straight through to the brand. We do not invent codes and we do not publish discount figures we cannot see — where an offer has no stated amount, it is listed as a deal rather than a percentage.
